Job Summary

The Junior Software Engineer will contribute to the development and upkeep of enterprise-level Java applications. The role involves close collaboration with team members to design, build, enhance, and maintain software solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise Java applications throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Enhance existing applications to boost performance and reliability.
• Participate in integration testing and resolve application issues.
• Conduct unit testing employing standard testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver software that meets business requirements.
• Create and keep technical documentation updated.
• Adhere to development standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Practical experience in Java programming.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs or web services is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience or understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Exposure to Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.
• Basic familiarity with unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Internship or academic projects involving Java development.
