Junior IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Consultant – Qatar

Overview

We seek a Junior IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Consultant to join our Qatar-based team. This role is integral in supporting IT governance practices, risk management, compliance frameworks, and advancing control improvements, focusing especially on the COBIT framework.

Key Duties

• Assist in carrying out IT governance and GRC assessments organization-wide.
• Help evaluate COBIT-related maturity and capability levels.
• Document and review IT policies, procedures, processes, risks, and controls thoroughly.
• Support risk assessments and maintain updated risk and compliance registers.
• Identify any gaps in control measures and monitor remedial actions.
• Collaborate in creating governance dashboards, reports, and management presentations.
• Contribute to internal and external audit processes along with compliance activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 1 year specifically in IT GRC roles.
• Solid grasp and practical exposure to the COBIT framework; COBIT certification highly desired.
• Basic understanding of IT governance, risk assessments, IT controls, policies, and compliance standards.
• Experience with other frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or ITIL is a plus.
• Strong skills in documentation, analysis, and communication.
• Capability to engage effectively with diverse business and IT stakeholders.
• Applicants must currently reside in Qatar.
