About The Role
Monks is seeking a Junior Creative Producer to join our Performance Creative team in Toronto. Reporting directly to the Director of Creative Production, you will assist in the complete production process of direct response creative across paid digital platforms. This role offers an opportunity to learn and develop skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that emphasizes high-volume creative output.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior producers in interpreting client briefs into actionable guidance for Designers and Editors/Animators working on paid social and digital channels including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Google, and CTV.
- Learn and implement best practices for creating short-form videos, static images, and animations tailored for digital platforms.
- Contribute to project scoping, scheduling, and management from project initiation to delivery.
- Participate in preparing pitches, treatments, and proposals alongside senior team members.
- Support quality assurance to ensure all deliverables meet client requirements and internal quality standards.
- Develop basic skills in copywriting and script formatting.
- Manage task tracking within assigned accounts, proactively identifying and communicating risks or obstacles.
- Maintain organized documentation including briefs, timelines, and feedback records.
- Support senior producers with client communications while gaining experience representing production perspectives.
- Manage Asana workflows to keep projects updated with accurate task assignments and deadlines.
- Create and oversee project timelines, identifying potential risks before they impact delivery.
- Facilitate communication and alignment among internal teams through consistent project management practices.
- Collaborate effectively with creative team members across different time zones.
- Be a dependable, communicative team member who is organized and solution-focused.
- Contribute ideas and provide feedback to enhance team performance and processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in creative production, project coordination, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Asana or similar project management tools for managing workflows and timelines.
- A portfolio or work samples demonstrating relevant experience (including internships, freelance, or agency work) is required.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with producing short-form content and understanding of social media platforms.
- A 4-year degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Beneficial but not mandatory: experience with paid social ad creative (Meta, TikTok), user-generated content (UGC) production, and exposure to B2C or B2B branding contexts.
