Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Architect or Architectural Designer with around three years of professional experience to join our New York Educational studio. The role involves engaging in diverse educational projects, particularly public schools, and handling all stages of project delivery from concept to construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and technical development of educational and institutional projects.
• Create and manage construction documents using Revit software.
• Engage in construction administration tasks such as reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs), evaluating submittals, conducting site visits and field observations, preparing detailed field reports and meeting minutes, and assisting during punch list and final project closure phases.
• Collaborate effectively with consultants, clients, and contractors.
• Provide support to project teams throughout all design and construction phases.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch.).
• Minimum of three years of professional experience in architecture.
• Firm grasp of technical skills and architectural documentation.
• Experience in preparing construction documents and coordinating consultant-related information.
• Understanding of construction administration, including managing RFIs, submittals, and performing site observations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
• Organized, self-driven, and enthusiastic about learning within a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) projects is highly preferred.
• Additional skills in rendering and visualization are advantageous.
• Encouragement to pursue architectural licensure.
