Junior Accounting & Reporting Analyst

Position Overview

Hive is seeking a motivated Junior Accounting & Reporting Analyst to join the Finance team in Berlin. This position is ideal for someone eager to work in a fast-paced, high-growth setting with a passion for finance. The role combines core accounting duties with financial reporting responsibilities, including exposure to group consolidation, intercompany transactions, FP&A support, and international tax advisory services across five European countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly consolidation of group financials.
• Prepare and review financial data packages for external tax consultants in the UK, Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands.
• Support the FP&A team during internal reporting cycles by preparing data, verifying consistency, and ensuring timely provision of financial insights.
• Manage revenue bookkeeping through upload file handling.
• Create and process intercompany invoices.
• Contribute to accounts payable and receivable cleanup initiatives to maintain ledger accuracy.
• Assist with the annual group audit process, including documentation and data support.
• Support transfer pricing analysis and intercompany documentation efforts.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to facilitate a smooth year-end closing process.

Candidate Profile

• Up to two years of experience in accounting, finance, controlling, or related fields, including internships or work-study programs. Experience in international or multi-entity contexts is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for working with numbers, identifying inconsistencies, and structuring financial data clearly; interest in FP&A or reporting is a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting or reporting software tools such as DATEV, Lucanet, or Excel, and a willingness to quickly learn new systems.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Proactive communicator and collaborator comfortable working cross-functionally and liaising with external partners like tax advisors.
• Fluent English required; German language skills are beneficial but optional.
• Degree pursued or completed in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or related disciplines, with motivation to advance in an international environment.
