Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Junior Accountant to join our team onsite in Doha, Qatar. This role involves supporting daily accounting duties including recording journal entries, maintaining ledgers, and handling invoices and expense reports. The Junior Accountant will assist in month-end and year-end financial closing, bank and account reconciliations, and preparation of fundamental financial reports for internal use. Ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting standards, supporting audit documentation, and collaborating with team members for financial planning and budgeting are key responsibilities. The role demands meticulous data entry, strong attention to detail, and clear internal communication.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic proficiency in accounting tasks such as journal entry posting, ledger upkeep, and account reconciliation.
• Experience supporting financial report preparation, budgeting tasks, and closing processes.
• Competence in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, for data management and report generation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and accuracy in maintaining financial records.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
• Educational background preferably a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of Qatar’s financial regulations and standards is advantageous, along with any accounting certifications or ongoing credentials.
• Ability to manage priorities efficiently, handle confidential financial data, and maintain time management.
