About the Role
Join Emirates Group as a Junior Accountant within the Group Accounts Payable Services team in Dubai. Be part of a globally recognized aviation leader that values innovation and excellence while supporting financial strategies crucial to the company’s future success.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate accurate financial entries and invoices; handle proration, tax, and revenue accounting exceptions.
- Process incentive, ORC, and refund payments; reconcile control accounts and clear nominal entries.
- Audit financial documents to identify discrepancies and raise under-collections as needed.
- Maintain and update accounting masters, including general ledger and nominal accounts, to ensure smooth processing and precise reporting.
- Respond promptly to disputes, conduct customer account reconciliations, and escalate payment delays for resolution.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries, preventing inconsistent outcomes through strong control measures.
- Support the Supervisor or Officer with pre- and post-closing accounting activities and special assignments.
- Process invoices ensuring validity and accuracy on correct nominal accounts and contribute to month-end closing processes.
- Assist in reconciliation and analysis of relevant accounts to identify anomalies timely, ensuring company records accurately represent monthly transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of 10 years of schooling or equivalent; background in finance preferred.
- Proficiency with office automation tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
