Role Overview
This full-time on-site role in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, focuses on microbiological quality control work within a laboratory environment. The position supports routine testing, documentation, compliance, and laboratory operations to help maintain GMP standards and overall quality requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Carry out microbiological analysis for sterile and non-sterile materials, including LBPC, BET, MLT, and bioburden examinations.
- Perform water analysis, environmental monitoring, and microbiological assay procedures.
- Maintain microbial cultures, including sub-culturing, identification, and growth promotion testing (GPT).
- Prepare and keep laboratory records up to date while ensuring adherence to GMP, GDP, and data integrity expectations.
- Record test outputs in SAP and track equipment and area temperatures using Vaisala/SIRIUS monitoring tools.
- Assist with microbiology lab activities and wider quality compliance tasks.
- Take part in both internal and external audit processes.
- Draft SOPs and support qualification and validation documentation.
- Escalate deviations, out-of-specification (OOS), out-of-limit (OOL), and excursion events when needed.
- Handle eQMS-related work through the Amplelogic platform.
- Work in line with safety rules and accepted good laboratory practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Microbiology or a closely related biological science is required.
- Hands-on knowledge of microbiological testing methods and GMP-based laboratory practices is expected.
- Strong working ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is needed.
- Prior exposure to SAP, eQMS platforms, or laboratory monitoring systems will be considered an advantage.
