Role Overview

Fyfe is looking for an IT Service Desk Technician to join its IT Service Desk team in Adelaide. In this position, you will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to employees across the organisation, manage issues through to closure, and help maintain a dependable and positive technology support experience.

The role offers the chance to work independently while also partnering with skilled IT colleagues and helping improve how IT services are delivered.

Key Duties

  • Deliver first- and second-line support for hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Resolve problems involving Windows devices, Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Active Directory / Entra ID.
  • Own incidents and service requests from logging through to final resolution in the ITSM system.
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, multi-factor authentication, and device access.
  • Support laptops, desktops, mobile phones, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Help with Microsoft Intune enrolment and device administration.
  • Escalate complex matters when needed while keeping users updated throughout the process.
  • Prepare and maintain knowledge articles and technical documentation.
  • Spot recurring issues and contribute ideas for improving service delivery.
  • Support and guide Graduate Service Desk Analysts.

What You Bring

  • Around 1 to 2 years of experience in an IT service desk or technical support position.
  • Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and user access problems.
  • Comfort using ITSM or ticketing platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus a service-oriented mindset.
  • Capability to juggle priorities and work with limited supervision.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MS-900, or similar are advantageous.
  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred but not mandatory.
