Role Overview
Evertz is looking for an IT Support Specialist to deliver dependable technical help for end-user computing across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. This in-office role is based in Burlington, Ontario, and suits someone who can handle a wide mix of desktop, networking, and infrastructure support while keeping user satisfaction high.
The position is well suited to a practical problem-solver who enjoys working in a small, fast-moving team and has strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and resolve items in the general IT helpdesk queue.
- Support, administer, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and macOS systems.
- Set up, roll out, upgrade, and manage end-user devices.
- Support user access, authentication workflows, and endpoint protection tools.
- Oversee patching, antivirus, encryption, and backup processes on endpoints.
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 apps, collaboration tools, and day-to-day productivity software.
- Record technical incidents, fixes, and standard operating procedures clearly.
- Work with IP networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Monitor and support wireless access points.
- Maintain network printers, scanners, and other shared office equipment.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues.
- Take part in IT initiatives, technology rollouts, office moves, and ongoing improvement work.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary credential in Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
- Relevant experience of 2 to 4 years is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office / Office 365 tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is needed.
Working Conditions
This is an onsite role in Burlington, Ontario. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, for 40 hours each week. The opening is for an existing position.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is offered at CAD 48,000 to CAD 52,000 per year, depending on relevant experience.
