Strive Charter School is set to open in Fall 2026 in a refurbished historic building located at 604 East 139th Street in the South Bronx, just a short walk from the 6 train and close to Manhattan. Position Overview
The IT Associate serves a vital role in maintaining and supporting the school's technology infrastructure and daily operations. This person provides technical assistance, manages devices and systems, and ensures staff have secure, dependable access to necessary tools. Collaborating closely with the Director of Technology and Operations, the IT Associate contributes to effective technological systems that underpin both educational and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for technology support requests from staff.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, Microsoft 365, printing, and connectivity issues.
- Set up, deploy, and upkeep laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other tech equipment.
- Manage staff onboarding/offboarding by provisioning accounts, devices, software licenses, and system access.
- Oversee Mobile Device Management platforms to keep devices secure and current.
Requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities to deliver timely, professional support to staff and students.
- Prior experience in IT support, systems administration, or technology operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows OS, basic networking, device management, and end-user support.
- Preferred familiarity with Mobile Device Management systems, access control technologies, inventory management, and IT ticketing platforms.
- Capability to multitask, work autonomously, and adjust to evolving tech requirements in a growing school setting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $22, based on experience.
