Investment Banking Analyst / Graduate Finance Program

Role overview

This graduate finance program is designed for an Investment Banking Analyst who will contribute to financial analysis, transaction support, and strategic advisory work while building a practical understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and investment banking processes.

What you will do

• Support financial projects by carrying out research, preparing analysis, and assisting with modelling and business evaluation.
• Perform company benchmarking, industry research, and market intelligence gathering to aid mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, corporate finance, and investment initiatives.
• Review financial statements, assess business performance, and build valuation models, forecasts, and investment recommendations using both quantitative and qualitative inputs.
• Create pitch decks, presentation materials, investment memoranda, transaction paperwork, and management reports for internal and external audiences.
• Assist with due diligence by reviewing financial information, spotting possible risks, organising records, and helping drive transaction execution.
• Track market movements, economic updates, regulatory shifts, and industry performance to produce insights that inform decision-making.
• Work with finance teams, business leaders, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate analysis and transaction support.
• Take part in structured learning, collaborative projects, and ongoing professional development as part of the graduate pathway.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of corporate finance, financial analysis, investment concepts, valuation methods, capital markets, and financial modelling. You should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, financial databases, presentation software, and reporting tools, and be open to using business intelligence and data visualisation platforms.

We are looking for someone with solid analytical ability, numerical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, along with the capability to interpret financial data, identify patterns, evaluate performance, and contribute to investment decisions. Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, due diligence, risk analysis, corporate valuation, and forecasting is important.

Strong written and verbal communication, a high level of organisation, attention to detail, adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to manage several tasks in a fast-moving team environment are also key.
