Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled, driven, and enthusiastic Interior Designer eager to advance from a solid foundational experience to the next career stage. This opportunity is ideal for a perceptive designer wanting to join our vibrant Sydney office as part of our celebrated National Interior Design team. The role involves working on various projects within the Education, Commercial, and Workspace sectors, requiring prior experience in at least one area. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of projects, from initial strategy and concept development through space planning, design development, documentation, on-site construction oversight, and contract administration
- Engage in client briefings and workshops to shape design direction
- Produce design drawings and documentation using Revit software
- Prepare and deliver presentations utilizing tools such as Revit, Enscape, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Collaborate effectively with both small and large project teams
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have professional experience in at least one of the Education, Commercial, or Workspace sectors and be eager to expand their skills further. As a national firm utilizing Revit extensively, strong proficiency with the software is essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to advance projects through all phases and a solid understanding of the Building Code of Australia and associated regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- Minimum of four years of Interior Design experience within Education, Commercial, or Workspace sectors
- Advanced skills in Revit and capability to produce high-quality design development drawings
- Familiarity with BCA and building specifications
- Strong skills in presentations and rendering with software including SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Rhino, and MS Office Suite considered valuable
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration with consultants, clients, and team members
- A proactive, collaborative work style demonstrating accountability and personal pride
- Capability to manage multiple projects and work autonomously or within teams
