IEA Employment Consultant - Shepparton

About the Role

This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support individuals with disabilities and other barriers such as injury or long-term unemployment in gaining employment that can transform their lives. Positioned at our Shepparton, Victoria location, the role is part of the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. You will combine client support, employer engagement, and administrative duties to deliver impactful employment outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with participants to understand and align with their employment aspirations.
• Prepare participants to be job-ready by coaching on competitiveness, confidence during interviews, and job search tactics.
• Assist candidates with resume creation, interview prep, and access to training and upskilling options.
• Proactively identify and market participants to employers, generating employment opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local businesses to create sustainable employment pathways.
• Engage in business development including cold calling, face-to-face employer visits to uncover and capitalize on hidden job opportunities.
• Negotiate job trials, work experience, and wage subsidies to support employment placements.
• Manage all compliance, documentation, and data tracking in accordance with program standards.
• Maintain and grow employer relations to encourage repeat job placements and ongoing vacancies.
• Monitor progress against KPIs and celebrate participant milestones and successes.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with employers and participants alike.
• Experience in sales, recruitment, customer service, or business development roles.
• Passion for assisting individuals to overcome barriers to employment.
• Motivated, resilient, and target-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Additional Requirements

• Right to work in Australia.
• Current driver's license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Possession of a MyGovID at Standard level.
• Willingness to undergo National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm onsite in Shepparton.
