Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct employee relations support by coaching managers on performance issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations, conducting thorough investigations to ensure equitable and compliant resolutions
- Collaborate with HR leadership to interpret and apply multi-state employment laws and internal policies, ensuring compliance while maintaining a positive employee environment
- Design and lead onboarding and training programs for new employees and managers, ensuring consistency and alignment with company culture across both remote and onsite settings
- Partner with HR and business leaders to promote culture-building activities, engagement initiatives, and support integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions
- Assist with performance management processes by reviewing evaluations, monitoring completion rates, and providing guidance to uphold quality and company standards
- Manage workers’ compensation administration, conduct exit interviews, analyze HR metrics, and contribute to compliance audits and ongoing improvements for employee retention and experience enhancement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 3 years as an HR Generalist with significant experience in employee relations, onboarding, and performance management; strong familiarity with California employment law is highly desirable
- Experience supporting a diverse, multi-state workforce, including remote and onsite environments such as warehouse, pharmacy, or operational sites, with knowledge of federal and state labor regulations
- Excellent skills in employee relations, organizational abilities, communication, analysis, and influence, demonstrating a high level of professionalism
- Proficient with HRIS platforms like UKG, Workday, or equivalents, as well as Microsoft Office applications
- Preferred knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures
- Professional certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are advantageous
