Overview
Guggenheim Securities International Limited is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join their HR team to support the UK and Ireland operations. Based in the London office, this role will assist a growing office of around 60 employees and act as the local liaison for HR processes managed centrally in the U.S. The position involves collaboration with U.S. Recruitment, Talent and Development, and HR Operations teams to deliver local support for global HR initiatives and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding process to ensure new hires receive an outstanding introduction experience.
- Oversee smooth enrollment for payroll, benefits, pensions using Workday and other systems.
- Arrange meet and greet sessions specifically for senior new hires.
- Complete Right to Work verifications before employee start dates.
- Obtain and respond to regulatory reference checks for incoming and former employees as required.
- Conduct orientation programs for newly hired staff.
- Ensure technology and workspace are ready for employees on their first day.
- Act as a resource for HR policies, procedures, and firm programs.
- Hold periodic check-ins with employees during their tenure.
- Assist U.S. recruitment teams with coordination of full-time and intern hiring processes.
- Support performance management, talent review, and promotion activities as extension of the U.S. talent team.
- Address employee relations issues by escalating concerns and providing assistance where necessary.
- Provide administrative support and contribute to special HR projects.
- Conduct exit interviews and manage all offboarding responsibilities in coordination with relevant departments.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a relevant discipline.
- More than 7 years of HR experience, preferably in financial services or investment banking.
- 2 to 3 years of proficiency with Workday, including data entry and audit tasks for the UK and Ireland.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively present necessary information for HR decisions.
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized with excellent follow-up abilities.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure, customer-service oriented, and capable of managing expectations appropriately.
- Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-moving work environment.
- Team player who can collaborate across multiple functions, disciplines, and regions.
Work Location and Conditions
This position is expected to be office-based at the London site at least four days each week.
