Role Overview
This position is part of Marriott International’s Human Resources function in Doha, Qatar. It is a full-time, non-management role based onsite. The role supports managers, the leadership team, and employees across day-to-day HR operations, hiring administration, employee records, compliance, and internal HR support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management and leadership with HR-related matters and help resolve employee issues.
- Handle internal and external transfer requests and the related procedures.
- Assist supervisors and managers with recruitment activity and hiring-related concerns.
- Coordinate candidate screening steps such as drug tests, reference checks, background verification, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verification.
- Track applicant movement, screening activity, orientation records, and transfer request logs.
- Prepare and maintain new-hire and employee personnel files, and update records in HR information systems.
- Help conduct onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Monitor recruitment and hiring processes to ensure alignment with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company standards and policies.
- Keep employee files accurate and complete, including interview documentation and I-9 records.
- Assist with payroll record processing and upkeep when needed, following company procedures.
- Escalate employee relations concerns within the division or property to HR leadership.
- Create and maintain filing systems and generate HR reports as required.
- Answer incoming calls, take messages, and draft office correspondence using a computer.
- Act as an HR subject-matter resource and contribute to project teams.
- Train new hires on HR systems, policies, programs, and procedures.

- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
