Human Resources Business Partner

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a collaborative People & Culture team in Ultimo, Sydney. This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with leaders, strengthening workplace relationships, and helping shape positive employee experiences. You will provide practical, people-centred HR support throughout the employee journey while also contributing to broader business goals.

What you will do

• Work alongside managers to support recruitment, onboarding, and broader talent management activities.
• Offer coaching and practical advice on performance, employee development, and workplace relations matters.
• Help leaders address employee issues and build a positive experience for staff.
• Support salary review processes, workforce planning, and organisational change programs.
• Maintain HR documentation and processes with accuracy and in line with legal responsibilities and internal policies.

About the team and reporting line

You will report to the Head of People & Culture and collaborate with leaders across the organisation. The role contributes to an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing culture.

What we are looking for

• Five to eight years of experience in an HR Business Partner role or a comparable generalist HR position.
• Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and coaching employees or managers.
• Solid understanding of employment law and current HR best practices.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities.
• A flexible, team-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in working with people.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is AUD 130,000 to AUD 135,000 per year, plus superannuation.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time position based onsite in Ultimo with a hybrid working model.

Experience requirement

Applicants should have 5 to 8 years of relevant HR experience.
