Role Overview
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a key collaborator with senior leadership within designated business segments, driving people-related strategies that support both functional goals and overall business success. This position operates both strategically and operationally, crafting and implementing HR initiatives that enhance organizational performance, talent management, and workforce capability. The HRBP engages closely with Strategic HRBPs, HR Delivery, HR Operations, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to prioritize and execute critical human resources objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior functional leaders to identify primary business priorities and develop customized people strategies accordingly.
- Provide insights and constructive challenge regarding organizational capabilities, structure, and talent forecasting.
- Assist in shaping and executing the overall people strategy in alignment with business and enterprise goals.
- Lead organizational design and restructuring initiatives specifically within Research & Development and Technical Operations departments.
- Analyze and solve organizational effectiveness challenges through data-driven solutions.
- Ensure role alignment and capability optimization to meet business demands.
- Administer talent review and succession planning processes for assigned functions.
- Coach leaders to identify, develop, and retain high-potential employees.
- Support leaders in actioning development plans and achieving talent-related objectives.
- Manage workforce planning activities linked to pipeline, regulatory compliance, and operational necessities.
- Identify skill gaps and collaborate with business heads on corrective interventions.
- Facilitate strategic recruitment and capability enhancement efforts.
- Coach and advise leadership on improving team dynamics, leadership skills, and performance management processes.
- Provide guidance on complex employee issues in partnership with HR Delivery teams.
- Promote high engagement levels and a positive workplace culture within assigned areas.
- Lead change management initiatives related to restructures, pipeline adjustments, and novel work methods.
- Leverage engagement and workforce data to design targeted interventions.
- Oversee smooth implementation of essential HR programs like performance management, talent development, and compensation.
- Act as the liaison coordinating HR functions with business operations to ensure seamless employee experiences.
- Utilize analytics to detect trends, potential risks, and opportunities; translate these into actionable strategies for leadership.
- Monitor and adjust people programs to maximize their impact on business goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive HR Business Partner experience within complex, matrixed corporate environments.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior executives (VP level and above).
- Expertise in organizational design, change management, talent management, and workforce planning.
- Strong commercial understanding coupled with problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to ambiguous conditions with agility to shift priorities effectively.
- Resilience in managing workload pressures and maintaining composure during setbacks.
- Excellent prioritization and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail and professionalism.
- Experience functioning within global organizations, emphasizing matrixed teams and projects with comprehensive US HR knowledge.

Educational Background and Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a closely related field is mandatory.
- Experience in the global pharmaceutical sector is highly desirable.
- Possession of HR professional certification is advantageous.
