Job Overview
We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Officer to drive the development, execution, and ongoing enhancement of our HSE management systems throughout our organization. The role requires practical expertise in integrated management systems and business continuity management to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and sustain HSE management frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Guarantee adherence to standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 among others.
- Conduct frequent inspections, audits, and risk evaluations to identify hazards and apply preventive measures.
- Lead accident investigations including root cause analysis and introduce corrective measures.
- Organize and deliver HSE training sessions, toolbox discussions, and awareness initiatives for staff and contractors.
- Track and report key HSE performance indicators driving ongoing improvements.
- Assist in preparedness and response strategies, including activities related to Business Continuity Management (BCM).
- Serve as a liaison with governmental bodies, regulatory agencies, and certification organizations as necessary.
- Encourage a robust safety culture by actively engaging employees in health and safety programs.
Candidate Requirements
- At least five years of experience implementing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and integrated management systems.
- A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related disciplines.
- Holds a NEBOSH International Diploma (Level 6) or an equivalent professional HSE qualification.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license is required.
- Preferred experience or thorough knowledge in Business Continuity Management (BCM).
- Comprehensive understanding of local HSE legislation and international standards.
- Strong communication, reporting capabilities, and effective stakeholder management skills.
