Overview
A technology company is looking for a temporary Human Resources Generalist to assist the Director and Head of HR. This role is ideal for someone with over 7 years of HR expertise who is motivated to address complex HR challenges. The contract duration is 2 to 3 months with potential for extension. The position offers an hourly wage of $45 and follows a hybrid work model, consisting of four days onsite and one remote day, from 9 AM to 6 PM daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HR operations like payroll, benefits administration, and managing employee leave, adhering to company policies and procedural standards.
- Support initiatives to improve employee involvement and ensure organizational compliance.
- Gain experience across various HR functions within a fast-paced startup setting.
- Manage programs related to compensation, benefits, leave, and employee recognition.
- Conduct background screenings and verify employee eligibility; administer onboarding procedures for new hires.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment legislations.
- Monitor and document compliance with mandatory trainings and continuing education.
- Address employment-related queries and escalate tougher issues as necessary.
- Engage in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations involving employees.
- Stay current with HR trends, best practices, and regulatory updates.
- Provide support for performance evaluations and supervise subordinate staff workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience in HR management; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- High integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- SHRM-CP certification is advantageous.
