HR Driver / Forklift Operator

Overview

Team Global Express is currently seeking a skilled HR Driver and Forklift Operator to join their team in Wilsonton, Toowoomba. This full-time, permanent opportunity operates Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and efficient completion of delivery and pickup assignments.
• Conduct multi-drop deliveries and collections throughout Toowoomba and surrounding areas following safety and professionalism standards.
• Load, secure, and transport freight according to company protocols and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service during all deliveries and pickups while maintaining professional appearance.
• Accurately complete delivery documentation including paperwork, run sheets, electronic manifests, and scanning tasks promptly.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre-start checks, reporting maintenance or safety issues immediately.
• Continuously monitor freight condition during transit, ensuring safe handling of goods.
• Plan delivery routes and manage runs to align with operational timetables and customer requirements.
• Utilize forklift equipment to safely load/unload trucks, trailers, and pallets in compliance with site and load restraint guidelines.
• Engage in yard and warehouse activities such as freight sorting, scanning, palletising, and maintaining cleanliness and order.
• Adhere to company safety procedures, including hazard identification and incident reporting.
• Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other safety measures.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of trucks, forklifts, equipment, yard, and personal workspace.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a current and valid HR heavy vehicle license or higher.
• Holds a current forklift (LF) license.
• Previous experience operating forklifts within transport, freight, or warehouse environments is highly valued.
• Experience in HR truck driving, multi-drop deliveries, or freight transport is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently without supervision.
• Reliable punctuality and efficient delivery time management skills.
• Legal right to work in Australia is mandatory.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Capability to safely load, unload, and restrain freight in accordance with company and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
• Good physical fitness to handle manual labor tasks as required.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
