Overview
This role is offered by a partner company operating within the United States, focused on ensuring adherence to employment laws, regulatory frameworks, and internal company policies. As an HR Compliance Specialist, you will be integral in facilitating HR operations through precise reporting, audit preparation, policy management, and risk mitigation efforts. Collaborating closely with HR, Legal, HRIS departments, and external providers, you will uphold compliance standards for a global workforce. Ideal candidates possess extensive knowledge of employment laws, have strong analytical capabilities, and manage sensitive employee information discreetly. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global immigration partners to oversee immigration-related compliance services.
- Manage routine and specialized HR compliance reports such as AAP, EEO-1, ADA, VETS-4212, plus various state workforce reports.
- Work with HRIS teams to define reporting prerequisites, confirm data correctness, and maintain audit-ready systems.
- Update and maintain HR policies ensuring they comply with current employment legislation and internal governance.
- Monitor changes in regulations and offer guidance to HR leadership for necessary policy or procedural revisions.
- Jointly work with Legal and HR units to identify and mitigate risks relating to compliance.
- Conduct internal reviews to assess adherence to employment laws, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with I-9 requirements and assist in employment verification processes.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for HR staff and communicate policy updates organization-wide.
- Support compliance actions during organizational transitions such as workforce reductions, mergers, or divestments.
- Perform additional duties to support broader HR compliance goals as required.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in HR Compliance or related human resources roles.
- Expertise with affirmative action plans, EEO reporting, federal contractor compliance regulations.
- In-depth understanding of OFCCP, EEOC, ADA, and other relevant employment legislation.
- Experience managing relationships with external vendors and compliance partnerships.
- Strong skills in analysis, organization, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with integrity and discretion.
- Excellent communication and collaboration aptitude with diverse teams and hierarchical levels.
- Flexible and responsive to dynamically changing regulatory environments and business needs.
