We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to act as a strategic consultant to business leaders, managers, and employees. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of HR Business Partner, you will collaborate extensively with leadership teams and our People & Culture department to ensure talent management aligns with organizational goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a reliable advisor for leaders and staff, ensuring HR strategies support company objectives and foster organizational success.
- Collaborate closely with management and People & Culture leadership to identify business priorities and craft corresponding talent initiatives.
- Provide insights on organizational health, potential talent risks, workforce trends, and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Guide leaders during periods of growth, change, workforce planning, and optimizing team dynamics.
- Employ strong business insight to design practical HR interventions aligned with operational goals.
- Partner with managers to structure teams effectively, define roles, and set clear performance standards supporting business needs.
- Assist leaders in recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention of high-caliber talent.
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, leadership capacity building, and career advancement discussions.
- Support performance management processes such as goal setting, feedback, and employee development programs.
- Analyze organizational trends to suggest improvements enhancing engagement, productivity, and retention.
- Coach managers on leadership best practices, including conflict resolution, team engagement, and performance management.
- Ensure managers apply company policies consistently and meet people management responsibilities.
- Deliver training on leadership effectiveness, recruitment, performance improvement, and employee growth.
- Serve as a dependable resource for employee relations issues, investigations, and dispute resolution, upholding fairness and professionalism.
- Advocate for a positive employee experience while balancing organizational priorities.
- Support organizational design, restructuring, compensation guidance, workforce planning, and facilitate change management.
- Promote compliance and excellence in HR operational processes, stay current with employment laws and trends, and lead key HR initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and leadership coaching.
- Ability to cultivate trusted partnerships with leaders across levels and influence critical decisions.
- Experience managing change and scaling in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Balance employee advocacy with strategic business imperatives.
- Excellent skills in project management, organization, communication, consultation, and resolving conflicts.
- Proficient at analyzing data and using insights for actionable HR recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Adaptable to evolving job requirements and ready to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
- Preferred qualifications include certifications like SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR, experience in compensation planning, organizational design, partnering with senior leadership, and working with teams in British Columbia and Ontario.
