Role Overview
We are seeking experienced, motivated individuals to join our Sydney Terminal team. The Housekeeping Attendant will play a key role in upholding outstanding service by managing housekeeping and support tasks for arriving and departing Indian Pacific train services.
Key Duties
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping both on the train and within the terminal.
- Prepare and set up accommodation areas on the train.
- Handle delivery operations, loading and unloading goods onto trains.
- Conduct track-side responsibilities, such as refilling carriage water tanks and waste removal.
- Manage platform duties including luggage handling.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
This role demands physical stamina to work on feet for extended durations, often in confined spaces. Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality presentation are vital, alongside the ability to perform under time constraints. Experience with cleaning processes and chemical handling is advantageous. Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays is required due to the schedule of train arrivals and departures. A uniform is supplied to ensure professional appearance consistent with our brand identity.
