About Punthill Essendon

Punthill Essendon is a newly updated apartment hotel on Mount Alexander Road in one of Melbourne’s long-established suburbs. It serves corporate travellers, long-stay guests, and leisure visitors who expect accommodation that is consistently clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The property features 56 spacious apartment-style rooms, an on-site gym, guest laundry facilities, secure parking, and easy access to cafés, restaurants, and public transport.

Role Overview

As a Housekeeper, you will report to the Hotel Manager and work as part of a small team focused on creating memorable stays through excellent presentation and cleanliness. Full training is provided, and the environment is supportive, friendly, and fast moving.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will focus on maintaining high presentation standards across the hotel and ensuring guest rooms are cleaned efficiently and thoroughly.

• Keep shared and public areas aligned with brand presentation standards.
• Carry out in-stay and departure cleans for guest rooms to a consistently high standard.
• Maintain cleaning speed and quality in line with hotel performance expectations.
• Share observations about common-area condition with the Housekeeping Manager or Hotel Manager, especially where deep cleaning, repairs, or replacements may be needed.

Who We’re Looking For

The hotel operates in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly, so the right person will be adaptable, comfortable with variety, and motivated by accountability.

• Must have valid Australian working rights, such as citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa that allows employment.
• Strong attention to detail, good organisation, and high cleanliness standards.
• Able to work at least three shifts per week, mainly morning or day shifts.
• Capable of working well both in a team and independently.
