Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Doha for a House Manager who will take charge of the day-to-day running of a private household. The role focuses on coordinating staff, planning daily routines, and making sure household services are delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Key Duties
The House Manager will oversee housekeeping, maintenance, and meal preparation, while also keeping track of supplies and inventory. The position includes managing relationships with vendors and service providers, responding quickly to household requests, and maintaining a secure, tidy, and well-organized home environment. The role may also involve helping train household staff and putting in place procedures that improve comfort, privacy, and overall household satisfaction.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate household staff or other service teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for dealing with family members, employees, and outside vendors.
- Experience in coaching staff, maintaining standards, and reviewing performance.
- A service-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and handle requests professionally.
- Practical cooking knowledge, ranging from basic to advanced, along with familiarity with kitchen processes and food safety practices.
- Strong planning, organization, and time-management abilities with a sharp eye for detail.
- Capability to oversee budgets, record household spending, and manage stock levels.
- High standards of discretion, dependability, and respect for privacy and confidentiality.
- Prior work in hospitality, household administration, or a similar service-based setting is an advantage.
- Good command of English; knowledge of other languages commonly used in Qatar is an added benefit.
