Position Overview
Our partner company in Germany seeks a Helpdesk System Administrator to join their fast-expanding international technology team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth operation of teams, devices, and digital tools within a fully remote, diverse technology environment. It offers hands-on involvement in IT operations and system administration, presenting excellent growth opportunities and mentorship in IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of corporate hardware including procurement, configuration, inventory control, and international shipment.
- Configure and maintain company devices, particularly managing macOS environments through Apple Business Manager and Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.
- Support onboarding and offboarding by managing user accounts, permissions, access rights, and hardware distribution.
- Provide day-to-day IT helpdesk support, troubleshooting technical problems and assisting employees in English and Ukrainian.
- Handle management of access rights, subscription renewals, invoices, and administration for numerous business applications.
- Conduct regular access reviews and assist in security initiatives including improving access control, phishing prevention, and raising employee security awareness.
- Keep detailed documentation, update knowledge bases, and continually enhance IT processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure consistent and smooth technology operations across the organization.
Candidate Requirements
- Practical experience in IT support, helpdesk roles, system administration, or related technical fields.
- Proficiency and keen interest in macOS and the Apple ecosystem, with eagerness to advance technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals such as the OSI model, protocols, troubleshooting techniques, and common security considerations.
- Strong analytical skills to systematically identify and resolve technical issues while effectively communicating solutions to users.
- Excellent organizational abilities with capacity to prioritize tasks independently and manage daily operations.
- Competent English communication at B1-B2 level, capable of interacting confidently with international teams and suppliers.
- Customer-focused approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management tools, Apple Business Manager, ticketing systems, or IT service management platforms is advantageous.
- Basic automation skills using tools such as Zapier, Make, JavaScript, or Bash are a plus.
