Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially savvy Head of Project Delivery to guide our Project Management team and oversee our expanding clinical trial portfolio. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this leadership position ensures the successful completion of clinical projects from initial award through to final study closure. The role demands strong management of timelines, scope, budgets, and adherence to regulatory frameworks, while fostering a culture focused on operational excellence, client satisfaction, accountability, and ongoing process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of Accelagen’s clinical project portfolio to guarantee delivery aligned with timeframes, scope, budgets, and quality standards.
• Lead and mentor Project Directors and Project Managers, cultivating a high-achievement culture emphasizing teamwork, responsibility, and excellence.
• Promote operational excellence through governance, resource allocation, risk mitigation, process optimization, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage project financials including forecasting, budgeting, revenue and profitability analysis, and risk management associated with projects.
• Collaborate with COO and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies supporting organizational growth and goals.
• Establish and nurture strong partnerships with sponsors, clients, vendors, and strategic allies to ensure superior service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Support commercial efforts by assisting in proposal creation, bid defense, scope and budget evaluations, and strategic client interactions.
• Advocate for best practices in project management methodologies and ensure strict compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory standards, company SOPs, and quality policies.

Candidate Profile

• At least a decade of experience in clinical research, including no less than seven years in project management or leadership roles within clinical trials.
• Proven track record managing Phase I to Phase III clinical trials across various therapeutic areas, from project initiation through final clinical study report submission.
• Demonstrated success in leading project delivery teams in CROs, sponsors, or healthcare research environments.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, portfolio management, and operational leadership.
• Robust financial and commercial knowledge, including budget oversight, forecasting, financial reporting, and profit management.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster trust and influence with clients, senior management, and multidisciplinary teams.
