Head of Operations - Retail Properties

About the Role

We are partnering with a real estate platform expanding its retail property portfolio and seek a Head of Operations to oversee facility management across their retail malls. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead operational teams, manage vendor partnerships, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to all operations teams managing property and site operations within the retail portfolio.
• Develop, review, and implement operational policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices across properties.
• Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead crisis management and business continuity planning for all sites.
• Support asset enhancement initiatives, property upgrading projects, and onboarding of new properties from an operational standpoint.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), Building, Facilities Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in operations or facilities management, preferably in retail malls or commercial buildings, with proven leadership roles.
• Strong mechanical and electrical (M&E) knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, people management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with urgency; resourceful and methodical in problem-solving.
