Role overview

Earlybrite is recruiting an accomplished Head of IT for a leadership opportunity with a major organization in the oil and gas industry. The position is based in Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt.

Compensation

The monthly pay for this role is between ₦750,000 and ₦1,000,000.

What the role involves

• Set the direction for the company’s technology function and turn that plan into action.
• Manage all software, hardware, network, and cybersecurity activities across the organization.
• Keep IT systems secure, dependable, and running efficiently.
• Drive digital transformation efforts and introduce new technology solutions.
• Supervise IT budgets, external vendors, projects, and technical staff.
• Deliver strategic technology support that helps the wider business operate effectively.

What they are looking for

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in information technology.
• Strong background in both software/systems and hardware/infrastructure management.
• Proven ability to lead IT teams and oversee enterprise-level technology operations.
• Solid understanding of networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, servers, databases, and IT governance.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Professional certifications related to the field will be considered an added advantage.
