- Convert business needs into structured engineering plans and keep all technical streams aligned while encouraging innovation and ongoing improvement.
- Hire, grow and motivate a high-performing engineering team.
- Build a workplace that promotes collaboration, fast learning, career development and strong technical delivery.
- Lead the full lifecycle of redox flow battery system development, from early concept work through commercial rollout.
- Direct work on electrolyte chemistry, cell design, thermal control and full system integration.
- Make technical decisions that balance performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
- Provide system-level leadership at the interface of battery systems, PCS, EMS, SCADA, protection systems and the grid.
- Drive the development of robust BMS and EMS solutions that improve system performance, safety and grid compatibility.
- Work effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative environment within the energy storage domain.
- Manage complex engineering programmes to completion, on time and within budget.
- Deliver prototypes, field trials and production-ready systems while upholding quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with product, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams so engineering outputs support customer and business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with specialisation in power systems, power electronics and control systems.
- Hands-on exposure to vanadium redox flow batteries or other flow battery technologies.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or technical leadership position.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong expertise in BMS, EMS and energy storage system architectures.
- Experience with power electronics, control systems, grid integration, grid connection, power systems and PCS/EMS integration.
- Solid project management and execution experience, including delivery of complex technical programmes from engineering design through site energisation and grid acceptance.
- Comfort working on difficult technical problems and developing innovative solutions for energy storage.
- Motivation to contribute to the global energy transition through advanced storage technology.
