Position Overview
As a Guest Services Associate at Marriott International in Faridabad, Haryana, you will be instrumental in managing guest interactions at the front desk, ensuring smooth check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments. This role requires handling guest requests, processing payments, and maintaining clear communication with housekeeping and other hotel departments to meet guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, including room allocation and changes.
- Secure payments, issue and reactivate room keys, and verify room rates according to market codes and exceptions.
- Reconcile billing for guests and communicate room availability status to relevant staff.
- Handle guest telephone calls, messages, and requests professionally, arranging transportation and providing directional assistance as needed.
- Operate the telephone switchboard and generate daily operational reports such as credit card authorizations and contingency lists.
- Count and secure cash funds at shift start and end; process various payment types and provide change accurately.
- Notify security of any theft or loss prevention concerns.
- Adhere strictly to company protocols including safety reporting, uniform standards, confidentiality, and asset protection.
- Deliver exceptional hospitality by welcoming guests warmly, addressing service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing appreciation sincerely.
- Build positive workplace relationships, support team efforts, and respond constructively to employee concerns.
- Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and handling items up to 10 pounds.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors to maintain hotel operations excellence.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational requirement is a High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No previous work or supervisory experience is required.
- No licensing or certification necessary for this position.
