Property Overview
Mantra Chatswood is located in Chatswood’s retail and business precinct, just north of Sydney’s central business district. The hotel features studio-style rooms, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, plus a heated indoor lap pool for guest use. When you’re off duty, you can enjoy Sydney Harbour views from the North Shore, explore dining spots, try the local fairground ride, or browse a vintage market nearby.
Role Purpose
This position is the first point of contact for guests and helps create a welcoming first impression that shapes the rest of their stay. You’ll support guests from arrival through departure while contributing to a smooth, memorable hospitality experience.
Key Duties
- Deliver a polished and welcoming arrival and departure experience so guests feel valued throughout their stay.
- Communicate clearly with both guests and team members to keep operations running smoothly.
- Assist guests with issues and turn service challenges into positive outcomes whenever possible.
- Explain hotel facilities, amenities, and services with confidence and product knowledge.
- Share helpful local recommendations for nearby attractions, dining, and neighbourhood highlights.
- Accurately process reservations and maintain guest account information.
Skills and Experience
- Prior exposure to hotel front office or reception work is beneficial.
- A proactive mindset focused on exceeding guest service expectations.
- Comfortable working both collaboratively and on your own.
- Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks, stay calm under pressure, and manage time well.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Availability for rotating shifts, including nights, overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
