About Grand Mercure Bangalore
Grand Mercure Bangalore features 126 suite-style rooms equipped with kitchenettes, blending the privacy of a residence with the luxury of a hotel. Our suites are spacious, modern, and designed to provide a comfortable experience for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel prides itself on its culinary offerings with two dining venues: 'The Verandah' for global cuisine and 'By The Blue', a poolside RestoBar offering Indian-inspired dishes.
Role Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Guest Service Agent (GSA) to be the welcoming face of our hotel in Bangalore, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction through efficient front office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
- Manage the check-in and check-out processes with precision and care.
- Address guest questions, requests, or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Keep abreast of hotel services, local attractions, and events to assist guests knowledgeably.
- Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to provide coordinated guest experiences.
- Handle room bookings, alterations, and cancellations using the property management system.
- Manage financial transactions at the front desk ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Adapt to rapidly changing priorities and multitask effectively under pressure.
- Liaise with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready and handle special guest requests.
- Assist with luggage handling and arrange guest transportation as needed.
- Efficiently resolve overbooking and room type allocation challenges.
- Conduct daily audits of guest accounts to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Participate in upselling efforts to enhance the guest experience and boost revenue.
- Stay informed about promotions, packages, and loyalty programs to inform guests accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent customer service attitude with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Experienced in using hotel management software and proficient with computer operations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
