Web GIS development

• The job involves building web-based GIS applications using tools and frameworks such as ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox GL JS, React, Angular, or comparable front-end technologies.

Geospatial data and concepts

• A strong working knowledge of geospatial data formats is important, including Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML, GPKG, CAD, LAS/LAZ, NetCDF, raster imagery, and spatial database formats.
• You should also understand core spatial concepts such as projections, coordinate reference systems, topology, geocoding, routing, spatial indexing, and map tile services.

Data engineering and platform skills

• The role also calls for experience in geospatial ETL, data conversion and transformation, geodatabase architecture, spatial query tuning, and automated data-processing workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud geospatial solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is considered an advantage.
