Job Summary

UNIMAC - United Maintenance and Contracting Company is hiring a GIS Specialist for its project in Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia. The selected professional will report to the BIM Manager and is expected to join immediately. This position focuses on handling geospatial information, supporting BIM-GIS coordination, and working closely with cross-functional project teams on infrastructure work. Prior exposure to infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage the connection between ArcGIS and Autodesk Civil 3D / Infraworks through Autodesk Connectors.
  • Support smooth data exchange between design and geospatial teams by enabling IFC and GIS interoperability.
  • Maintain and update infrastructure GIS datasets such as roads, utilities, parcels, and terrain surfaces.
  • Work with Saudi Arabia-specific coordinate systems and projections, including UTM Zones 37N and 38N.
  • Use ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise for creating, analyzing, visualizing, and publishing spatial data.
  • Partner with engineers, planners, and GIS professionals to keep geospatial information accurate and aligned across the project.
  • Build and improve workflows, templates, and supporting tools for BIM-GIS integration and geospatial data handling.
  • Create 3D GIS models and visual outputs to help with planning and project decisions.
  • Ensure strong data quality, integrity, and clear documentation for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Investigate GIS issues and develop practical solutions for complex infrastructure-related challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Geo-Information Systems, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, GIS, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Practical experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Infraworks, and Autodesk Connectors is required.
  • Solid working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise is essential.
  • Understanding of IFC standards and BIM-GIS data exchange processes is needed.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure datasets and geospatial data administration is expected.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are important.
