Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable General Operative to join our Repairs and Maintenance team based in Leeds. This hands-on role combines practical skills, excellent customer service, and strong teamwork to maintain properties to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Install fixtures including curtains, blinds, and door handles, using practical maintenance experience and attention to detail.
- Perform painting and decorating tasks, demonstrating strong organizational skills and pride in quality presentation.
- Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaking waste pipes with a problem-solving approach.
- Assist with cleaning and waste collection duties, with training provided, showing flexibility and eagerness to acquire new skills.
- Collaborate effectively with the Repairs and Maintenance team, emphasizing reliability and teamwork.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional and customer-focused attitude.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and residents, utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
- Use initiative and confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently when required.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and cost control standards with a methodical and dependable work ethic.
