General Manager - New Gym Launch

About the Role

Join Everlast Gyms as a driven General Manager to spearhead the opening of our latest gym in London. This is a distinctive chance to establish and lead a new club from inception, shaping its culture, building a talented team, and embedding Everlast Gyms in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and lead a capable leadership team, including department heads and specialists, fostering a dynamic and high-achieving club culture.
• Manage all phases of club launch, coordinating with central support to ensure operational readiness and deliver outstanding member experiences from presale through ongoing operations.
• Drive business success through membership acquisition, retention, strong sales performance, and cultivating valuable community and business partnerships.
• Maintain operational excellence with strict adherence to presentation, cleanliness, safety, policies, and processes.
• Lead by example on the gym floor, motivating and developing staff to achieve excellence and promote continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Previous leadership experience as a General Manager, Club Manager, or overseeing multiple departments.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and inspire management teams.
• Proven track record in commercial and operational leadership with measurable sales growth achievements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in opening new gyms, retail, or hospitality venues.
• Level 2 Fitness Qualification.
• Managing larger teams spanning several functional areas.
• Strong local business and community networking experience.

Additional Information

Initial onboarding and training will take place at an existing club, such as Chiswick, requiring travel outside Central London before moving to the new gym location. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
