General Manager – EV Production (2-Wheeler & 3-Wheeler)

As our production capabilities grow, we seek a seasoned General Manager to spearhead plant operations and enhance operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive manufacturing and assembly for electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers, targeting daily, weekly, and monthly production and shipment goals.
• Manage assembly processes including powertrain integration, chassis fabrication, battery pack fitting, and final vehicle assessments such as dynamometer testing.
• Design and apply Production Planning & Control (PPC) frameworks to maximize plant utilization and production efficiency.
• Track and improve production key performance indicators continuously.
• Guarantee all vehicles meet internal quality benchmarks and regulatory standards such as AIS-156 and CMVR.
• Deploy Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to enhance productivity and minimize defects.
• Conduct thorough root cause analyses and apply corrective/preventive measures.
• Collaborate with procurement, vendor coordination, and inventory teams to assure steady availability of production materials.
• Supervise inventory for critical components like Hub Motors, Mid-drive Motors, BMS, MCU, and wiring harnesses.
• Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy and oversee Engineering Change Notices.
• Lead and nurture production engineers, supervisors, and shop-floor staff to promote a high-performance and safety-conscious workplace.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, especially for high-voltage electrical gear and lithium-ion battery handling.

Candidate Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of experience in automotive manufacturing with at least 2-3 years dedicated to electric vehicle assembly and production.
• B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or Production Engineering; certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Supply Chain Management are advantageous.
• Proficiency in chassis fabrication, body-in-white (BIW), welding, painting, and vehicle assembly.
• Hands-on expertise in battery pack assembly, BMS, controller programming, electrical troubleshooting, and end-of-line testing.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP software for production and inventory management.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with effective communication capable of reporting to senior management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-evolving, high-growth manufacturing environment with a practical and proactive approach.

Working Conditions

• Work location: Dholka, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
• Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Industry: Electric Vehicle Manufacturing.
