Job description
Job Overview
This position involves supporting the production line under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, contributing to various operational tasks during shifts at the facility located in Wheatley, Ontario.
Compensation Details
- Day Shift Rate: $22.67 per hour
- Afternoon and Night Shift Rate: $23.17 per hour (includes a $0.50 hourly premium)
Primary Duties
- Examine products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Remove items failing to meet quality requirements
- Adhere to food safety protocols and promptly report any concerns
- Carry out various production-related assignments throughout the facility
- Maintain adherence to company health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment
- Help with general housekeeping tasks to keep the workspace clean
- Support the production team in overall operations
Candidate Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or production environments is an advantage
- Capability and willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule
- Flexibility to undertake overtime as needed
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks within a structured setting
- Open to working across multiple departments and taking on diverse responsibilities
- Ability to function effectively in both hot and cold workplace conditions
- Knowledge of food safety procedures or readiness to learn them
- Reliable transportation for commuting to the workplace
- Positive mindset and eagerness to acquire new skills
