Role Overview

We seek a skilled freelance video editor to collaborate with our expanding team on a flexible, ad hoc basis. The position may be fulfilled remotely across New Zealand or onsite at our Mount Maunganui office. Successful candidates should demonstrate pride in their craft, reliable communication, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality edits punctually.

Responsibilities

• Edit a diverse range of video projects, including commercials, brand films, social content, corporate videos, event highlights, and product showcases.
• Manage projects independently, adapting to varying lengths and complexities, producing polished, story-driven content with minimal oversight.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated professional video editing experience.
• Strong storytelling capabilities with effective pacing.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work confidently without direct supervision.
• Clear and prompt communication skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve software.
• Advanced abilities in colour grading and audio mixing.
• Experience in crafting social media videos with engaging hooks.
• Keen willingness to learn and grow.

Desirable Skills

• Motion graphics proficiency.
• Sound design experience.
