Central to our solution is a shared operating system for couples that remembers all key details, eliminating repetitive conversations and ensuring seamless decision-making.
Couples face billions of dollars in financial and legal choices over their lifetime, yet no trusted companion currently exists to manage the comprehensive view across those decisions. Neptune is defining a brand-new category, offering a unique opportunity to build something impactful from the ground up. Backed by $7.5M in funding from Floodgate and The General Partnership, our demand is rapidly increasing.
Role Overview
As our first dedicated growth hire, you will lead Neptune's brand and community-driven growth initiatives end-to-end, owning the marketing function and shaping how couples discover and trust our platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute referral programs and build community and events focused on topics like money, marriage, and life planning.
- Create and manage organic social media and content that delivers an authentic, relatable narrative around finances and relationships to foster engagement and sharing.
- Strategize lifecycle marketing, affiliate partnerships, and retention email campaigns.
- Design and implement influencer and user-generated content (UGC) programs to increase brand reach.
- Establish key performance indicators for each marketing channel and provide transparent reporting to optimize ROI and amplify successful initiatives.
Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on growth marketing experience at a consumer-focused startup, with accountable ownership over outcomes.
- Proven history building brand-related functions such as referral systems, community engagement, events, creator/UGC programs, partnerships, or organic social media from the ground up.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI tools across research, creativity, copywriting, and analysis to boost growth efforts in an AI-centric environment.
- Strong storytelling abilities combined with rigorous data measurement and reporting discipline.
- Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable navigating fast-paced settings with limited budgets and no established playbooks.
Preferred Experience
- Background in fintech, consumer health or wellness, lifestyle sectors, marketplaces, or AI-assisted consumer services.
- Diverse experience spanning in-house, agency, and/or entrepreneurial roles.
Work Culture
- Emphasis on ownership and autonomy with rapid execution of tasks.
- User-centered approach by engaging directly with customers to design meaningful solutions.
- Agile methodology with weekly check-ins, prioritizing problem solving over processes, and a strong bias towards action.
Location and Hours
This position is based in New York City with an expectation of working onsite together five days a week.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $130,000 to $160,000 annually, along with significant early-stage equity opportunities.
