Food Counter Attendant

Role Overview

This position involves assisting customers at food counters and buffet tables by taking orders and serving food items promptly and courteously. The attendant will also handle food preparation tasks such as packaging, portioning, and heating simple dishes, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of food quantities used during service.
• Prepare take-out orders by packaging food items appropriately.
• Measure and wrap food portions efficiently.
• Heat and complete the preparation of basic food items.
• Attend to customers by taking their orders and serving food at counters or buffet lines.
• Restock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure availability of fresh items.
• Utilize both manual and electrical equipment to clean, peel, slice, and trim various foodstuffs.

Qualifications and Experience

• No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset but not mandatory.
