The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will contribute to the month-end reporting cycle while also supporting the finance systems that help keep the business running efficiently.

This is a broad Financial Accountant position covering financial reporting, compliance, business analysis, and finance systems work, making it a strong fit for someone who wants to deepen technical capability and work across multiple areas of finance.

Key Duties

• Prepare monthly management reports and assist with month-end close activities.
• Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and external audit requests.
• Complete GST, FBT, and other required statutory filings.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and other finance-related payroll tasks.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Help administer the finance ERP system and support ongoing improvements.
• Work with colleagues across the business to enhance reporting and streamline processes.

What You Bring

You should enjoy problem-solving, process improvement, and working across a wide range of financial accounting tasks.

• CA or CPA qualification, with demonstrated experience as a Financial Accountant in a medium-sized organisation.
• Solid experience in month-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
• Hands-on experience with large ERP platforms.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• A proactive mindset and a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
