Finance Content Writer (US Securities & Compliance)

About the Role

This is a remote full-time opportunity for a seasoned finance writer who understands U.S. securities rules and the financial markets in depth. The position is focused on producing credible, compliant, and reader-friendly content for investors, finance professionals, and retail readers. It is not intended for broad general finance writing.

The person in this role should bring strong writing ability together with practical knowledge of investment products, securities law, regulatory disclosures, and content compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop polished blog posts, web copy, educational resources, and long-form articles on financial topics.
• Convert technical investment and regulatory information into clear, accessible language.
• Create educational content around investing, securities, market movements, and personal financial planning.
• Make sure all materials meet applicable securities regulations and disclosure standards.
• Work closely with legal, compliance, and marketing stakeholders to preserve accuracy and consistency.
• Research market news, regulatory changes, and finance-related developments.
• Apply SEO techniques while keeping the content precise, compliant, and easy to understand.
• Refresh and revise existing assets so they stay aligned with current regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience producing professional content in finance or investment-related areas.
• Solid understanding of securities regulation and financial compliance.
• Hands-on experience covering investments, securities, capital markets, broker-dealers, RIAs, ETFs, mutual funds, or similar products.
• Strong command of English, with excellent editing and proofreading ability.
• Ability to break down complex financial ideas for general audiences.
• Good research skills along with careful fact-checking habits.
• Previous collaboration with legal or compliance teams is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of SEO is an added advantage.
• Background in financial journalism, investment research, financial publishing, or regulated financial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with SEC rules, FINRA guidance, investment disclosures, and advertising standards in finance is desirable.
• Experience writing for fintech, wealth management, investment advisory, brokerage, or financial publishing businesses is preferred.
• Education or certifications in finance, economics, accounting, or related disciplines are an advantage.
