Job Overview
This role involves partnering closely with operational teams to provide strategic human resources support centered on talent development, retention, engagement, performance management, recruitment, and employee relations. The position emphasizes fostering an enhanced employee experience and executing a comprehensive people life cycle program.
Main Duties
- Collaborate with leadership to address talent challenges, focusing on development, engagement, and performance coaching.
- Deliver recommendations to enhance team member satisfaction and workplace culture.
- Lead targeted recruiting initiatives in coordination with restaurant managers and operations to fill management vacancies.
- Take accountability for team member retention strategies including talent evaluation, succession planning, and leadership growth.
- Conduct on-site visits and interviews, including exit interviews, to gather insights for retention improvement.
- Report to Director, Field HR and Director Field Operations on workforce statistics and analyze trends in turnover data, engagement survey results, and attrition.
- Train restaurant management on Workday usage and maintain accuracy in team rosters.
- Work with operations to provide consistent implementation of people-related programs and processes.
- Act as a strategic partner to enhance retention rates across restaurant operations.
- Support regional recruitment efforts ensuring effective hiring strategies.
- Coordinate with Director of Operations and training teams during new restaurant openings to plan workforce needs and ensure positive team experiences.
- Manage employee relations investigations; coach leaders and document to mitigate company risks.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to develop leadership and business skill training for restaurant managers and field staff.
- Contribute to creating and rolling out HR policies, programs, and practices in conjunction with internal partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of in-field HR experience supporting multiple locations.
- Experience in restaurant human resources highly preferred.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems; familiarity with Workday is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Competent in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledgeable about applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Professional HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-SCP are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
Additional Information
The position’s target base salary ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, depending on experience.
