Role Summary
This position, titled Collection Executive, also known as Collections Specialist, Debt Recovery Officer, or Portfolio Collection Manager, operates within the Collections department. The employment commences with a three-month internship that provides a stipend, followed by conversion to a permanent role contingent on performance evaluation.
Primary Duties
- Manage a portfolio comprising roughly 100 to 120 active accounts where the EMI number exceeds 3, focusing on complete payment recovery.
- Conduct home visits regularly to customers for payment collection, employing empathy, respect, and patience in negotiations.
- Ensure timely deposit of all gathered payments to the respective branch within the stipulated turnaround time.
- Consistently achieve and surpass monthly collection targets and key performance indicators.
- Develop strategic daily routes prioritizing accounts with the highest overdue amounts to optimize collection results.
Eligibility Requirements
- Age restrictions: Fresh candidates should be 25 years or younger, while experienced applicants can be up to 28 years old.
- Educational qualifications: A minimum of 12th-grade completion is required, with graduates preferred.
- Experience background: Preference for those with experience in vehicle loans (two-wheelers, three-wheelers, or commercial vehicles) or microfinance non-LAP/business loans.
- Industry preference: Candidates from NBFCs or automotive financing sectors such as IndusInd Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, or HDB Financial are prioritized.
- Residency: Must live within a 20 km radius of the city center.
- Not suitable for candidates whose experience is limited to bank liability sales (credit cards, CASA, insurance), loan against property, or business loans.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary details vary by experience: Freshers receive ₹13,000 per month; 1-2 years of experience earns ₹14,000 per month; senior executives with 2-4 years are paid up to ₹16,000 monthly.
- A fixed compliance allowance of ₹3,000 monthly is granted when certain criteria are fulfilled: handling at least 70 collection cases, maintaining ≥97% collection efficiency, visiting all assigned cases by the 15th of the month, and ensuring employee ID freeze count remains below 7.
- Performance-based monthly incentives range from 50% to 60% of the basic salary.
Mandatory Compliance Policies
- All applicants undergo a financial eligibility check (CIBIL), with rejection possible for poor scores or significant arrears.
- Employment is conditional upon successful completion of police verification.
- Onboarding requires submission of an original blank cheque to the Head Office.
