Role Summary
This position is responsible for custodial upkeep of the building and supporting day-to-day housekeeping needs at the branch. It is a role for someone who can work with very little oversight, take initiative, and stay self-directed throughout the day.
Key Duties
- Keep indoor and outdoor areas free of litter as needed.
- Clean mirrors, windows, and other glass surfaces.
- Collect trash, empty containers, and wipe them down.
- Vacuum carpeted spaces as required.
- Disinfect and clean toilets, urinals, and sinks throughout the day and whenever needed.
- Restock and clean dispensers for soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, and similar supplies.
- Disinfect and clean showers throughout the day and as needed.
- Clean and disinfect drinking fountains.
- Disinfect and clean furniture, bleachers, and step stools.
- Dust both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- Dust mop and wet mop floors to keep flooring clean during the day.
- Escalate any facility-related concerns to a supervisor.
- Build positive, lasting relationships with members, donors, and volunteers.
