Job description
Job Summary
South Lanarkshire Council seeks a Facilities Officer to assist the Business Adviser in delivering effective and high-quality Facilities Management services. This role primarily oversees frontline operations including catering, cleaning, and janitorial support across more than 20 schools within the South Lanarkshire region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of catering, cleaning, and janitorial services to schools.
- Supervise and coordinate a workforce of approximately 250 employees.
- Oversee financial management and budget control related to facilities services.
- Collaborate with Heads of Premises and other clients to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation concerning Nutritional Standards and Food Safety.
Working Hours and Location
The position is based at Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA, working 35 hours per week from Monday to Thursday 8:45am to 4:45pm and Friday 8:45am to 4:15pm.
Salary
The role offers an annual salary between A347,611 and A348,633.
